PLAINCI Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the PLAINCI application, website, content and related services. By using PLAINCI, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally capable of entering this agreement and meet the minimum digital-consent age in your country. You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting access to your device. You must provide accurate information and promptly report unauthorized access.

PLAINCI may offer guest use. If you later link or transfer an account, some locally stored data or purchase history may merge. Do not attempt to access another person’s account.

The Service

PLAINCI uses image recognition and structured sources to organize cosmetic and personal-care ingredient labels. Recognition and source data can be incomplete, outdated, mistranslated, or affected by lighting, packaging, OCR quality, regional formulation changes and manufacturer errors. Always check the product’s current packaging and manufacturer information.

PLAINCI is for general education only. It is not medical, dermatological, toxicological, allergy, pregnancy, regulatory or professional advice; it does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition; and it does not guarantee that a product is safe, effective, compliant, cruelty-free, vegan, halal, suitable, or free of a substance. Seek a qualified professional for medical concerns and emergency services for urgent reactions.

Free and Pro Features

The free plan may include a limited number of scans. PLAINCI Pro may include unlimited scans, comparison tools, saved history, preference highlighting, source and ingredient-data updates, and other continuously updated features. Features, reasonable usage controls and platform availability may change, but we will not remove paid access already owed without providing an appropriate remedy required by law.

Subscriptions and Billing

PLAINCI Pro is offered through Apple as auto-renewing subscriptions. Current launch products are a monthly subscription with a U.S. base price of $9.99 and a one-year upfront subscription with a U.S. base price of $79.99. Your App Store displays the actual localized price, currency, taxes, billing period and any eligible offer before purchase; that storefront disclosure controls.

Payment is charged to your Apple account after confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, subject to Apple’s current terms. Apple manages billing, cancellation, refunds and price-consent flows. Deleting PLAINCI or your PLAINCI account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Restore Purchases is available in the app. Trials or introductory offers apply only when shown by Apple for an eligible account.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the service; bypass usage or payment controls; interfere with security; scrape or bulk-extract the database; reverse engineer except where law expressly permits; upload unlawful, infringing or malicious material; impersonate others; automate abusive requests; use PLAINCI to make unsupported medical or safety claims; or resell the service without written permission.

Your Content

You retain rights in content you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, process, reproduce and transmit it only as necessary to provide, secure and improve the service according to the Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to submit it. Do not upload confidential or unnecessary sensitive information.

Intellectual Property and Sources

PLAINCI software, design, branding and original editorial content are owned by Fırat Onurcan Polat or its licensors. Source materials, trademarks and product names remain the property of their respective owners. Source links are provided for reference and do not imply endorsement. These Terms grant a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use PLAINCI.

Availability, Changes and Termination

We may maintain, update, suspend or discontinue parts of the service for security, legal, technical or business reasons. We may restrict or terminate access for material violations, abuse, fraud or legal necessity. You may stop using PLAINCI and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will survive.

Disclaimers and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PLAINCI is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Nothing excludes consumer guarantees that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fırat Onurcan Polat will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, lost profits or data, product reactions, or decisions based on ingredient information. Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid for PLAINCI during the preceding 12 months or USD 50, unless local law requires more.

Apple Terms

Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for PLAINCI or support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the applicable mobile-app license provisions. Your use must also comply with the App Store terms and usage rules.

Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will receive notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance to the extent permitted by law. Contact firat_p@hotmail.com with questions.
